ITE Yokohama 2015

From December 2-4, the ITE (International Technical Exhibition on Image Technology and Equipment) took place in Yokohama, Japan. One of the largest technology trade shows in Japan, the show's core themes included the areas of security, medicine, ITS and robotics. The Imaging Source, along with their partner Argo, attended the trade show at the Pacifico Yokohama Hall and demonstrated the low-cost model of their 10 megapixel camera, and introduced the high-speed PYTHON1300 and the highly-sensitive IMX174 cameras. The latest LabView software was used in conjunction with the DFK Z12GP031 to present the GigE zoom camera's full range of capabilities. Many thanks to Argo for a great show!

AOI Forum and Show 2015

For many years now, the Automatic Optical Inspection Equipment Association (AOIEA) has planned and organized the AOI Forum and Show which took place on October 21st in the National Chiao Tung University in Hsinchu. During the show, visitors and AOIEA professional members, who include academic researchers, technical suppliers, manufacturers and end-users, discussed trends and themes relevant to the development of the machine vision industry. The show's main focus as a venue for information exchange allowed those interested an opportunity to gain expert insight into the industry.

Vision China Peking 2015

Every year, the Machine Vision Committee together with the China Society of Images and Graphics and the CIEC Exhibition Co. Ltd. organize the international machine vision exhibition, Vision China, in Peking. From October 14-16, the China International Exhibition Center opened its doors to machine vision enthusiasts who used the opportunity as a platform for information gathering, education and evaluation of innovations in the machine vision sector. As always, The Imaging Source team enjoyed the outstanding support of their local distributor, Beijing United Scientific Camera & Imaging, and was delighted with the very positive feedback from the show.

Becoming Invisible with Cameras from The Imaging Source

Making oneself or objects invisible, a long standing theme of fantasy and science fiction, may not be fiction anymore. With the help of The Imaging Source cameras, researchers at Berkeley Lab’s Materials Sciences Division have developed an "invisibilty cloak" that for the first time allows a 3D object to be "cloaked from visible light."
