Standard Software Interface For Frame Grabbers

So, what comes after Video for Windows?

Frame grabbers that are currently used for digital image processing do not have a standard software interface - like 'Video for Windows' we know from the multimedia world. The main problem is simply that many constraints are posed on the drivers. However, finally Microsoft has made available the Windows Driver Model (WDM), which forms a basis for standardization.

Such drivers are now available as a free download for the frame grabbers DFG/LC1 and DFG/LC2 (support for DFG/LC4 coming soon). The drivers are part of the latest FPICS version - our frame grabber toolbox. Or if you want to download FPICS more directly, jump straight to the download page:
