Introducting New Machine Vision SDK: ActivVisionTools

This week, we are going to take a look at a pretty new Machine Vision SDK. Christened ActivVisionTools, it has comprehensive coverage on our web site:

Learn more: ActivVisionTools.

ActivVisionTools is a set of Visual Basic components that allow you to develop powerful machine vision applications quickly and easily without writing a single line of code.

Based upon the machine vision SDK 'HALCON', MVTec's unique library offers performance together with unmatched flexibility. ActivVisionTools has inherited HALCON's speed, robustness, and accuracy but at the same time it amazingly manages to hide the complexity of image processing from the user.

To give ActivVisionTools the boost that it really deserves, we are delighted to offer an evaluation version, exclusive to the readers of this newsletter, straight from our web site:

ActivVisionTools Evaluation CD

As we discussed last week, the success of any programming tool, is good and copious documentation. Naturally, the users manual for each tool in the ActivVisionTools family may be downloaded from the first link.

But where the documentation and support for this machine vision SDK stands out from its competition, is that fact there is a public discussion forum available where developers may offer and receive mutual advice.

So, if you have any support questions or issues that you wish to discuss, please post them into the ActivVisionTools forum at:

http://www.theimagingsourceforums.com

where other eager developers will only be too happy to assist you.

(As is the case with all discussion forums, it is quite difficult to get the ball rolling, so please do not be afraid to post the first question!)

We wish you a lot of success with the ActivVisionTool machine vision SDK and we are looking forward to reading your feedback in the forum.

As always, should you like to speak to us about any topic related to image processing, please get in contact with us.

Best regards
