JULY 1, 2003 Low-Cost Image Analysis Software (MontiVision) In previous newsletters, we have discussed the need to completely separate application software and hardware using so-called APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). For image processing purposes, under Windows, this API is called 'DirectX' / 'DirectShow'. Many readers of this newsletter have asked for off-the-shelve application software which makes use of DirectX. Such a tool is the new 'MontiVision Image Analyser'.
