Options Menu

Description of the available options in the options menu.

Video settings

The Video Settings control the resolution and framerate of the camera. Please note that the framerate also depends on the set exposure time.

Partial Scan

The Partial Scan settings provide options to record only a specific area of the image. If supported by the camera this option can enable the usage of higher framerates with lower resolutions.

Behavior

The Snap Timeout parameter configures how long the software will wait for the camera to take a picture. This timeout has to be longer than the set exposure time. The timeout is set in ms, thus a timeout of 1000 equals 1 second.

The Recovery Interval parameter controls how frequently the application will attempt to re-establish the connection to a lost camera. The interval is set in ms, thus a timeout of 1000 equals 1 second.

The Recovery Attempts parameter controls how many attempts will be made to re-establish the connection to a lost camera.

The Interval and Attempts parameter together control how long the software will try to re-establish the connection to a lost camera. An interval of 1000 with 60 attempts will result in a one minute recovery window. After this time the device will be reported as lost.
