IC Imaging Control 4 SDK allows image acquisition from The Imaging Source cameras with a easy-to-use API.
A GenTL Producer/driver is required for camera access.
This package contains C and C++ header files, libraries, and core binary files. A pre-compiled demo application is availble for quick camera tests.
The package also contains API documentation for all supported programming languages (C++, .NET, Python, C).
The .NET and Python libraries are distributed via NuGet and PyPI respectively. See the .NET and Python documentation for details.

This driver is necessary when using The Imaging Source GigE cameras with DirectShow-based software such as IC Capture or IC Imaging Control.
If the application software already supports GigE (e.g. National Instruments LabVIEW or MVTec HALCON), this driver is not necessary.
An older driver (e.g. version 3.0.1 or lower) is required for Windows XP.

Windows 10 April Update, Version 1803 and higher: At "Camera Privacy Settings" the setting "Allow apps to access your camera" must be set to "On". If it is "Off" IC Capture and other programs wont show the camera.
Windows 7: If you encounter error 52 "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device.", your Windows must be updated with Microsoft fix KB3033929.
If you are using an older computer model (e.g. a Pentium 4 with Windows XP and USB 2.0 cameras), we suggest using driver 2.4.14.
If you are using Windows 8, the latest driver 2.7.9 or newer is recommended for USB 2.0 and 3.0 cameras.
