Welcome to The Imaging Source's dedicated embedded vision software page with links to driver packages for The Imaging Source cameras, as well as system images and GStreamer source code for the NVIDIA® Jetson™ and Raspberry Pi 4 platforms.
The downloadable system images for NVIDIA® Jetson Nano™, NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier NX™, and Raspberry Pi kits can be flashed to a micro-SD card and inserted directly into the target platform. The system images also include examples of how to work with the cameras and additional documentation.
OpenEmbedded serves as the basis for The Imaging Source's system image for the NVIDIA Jetson Nano and NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX platform. The OpenEmbedded layers needed to create custom images are available upon request.
The Imaging Source also provides driver packages (available for NVIDIA JetPack™) for MIPI CSI-2 and FPD-Link III camera modules on NVIDIA Jetson Nano and NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX platforms. Information about the supported JetPack version can be found in the download section. The drivers are compliant with the NVIDIA l4t video4Linux2 interface and work with the standard NVIDIA software stack such as JetCam, DeepStream SDK and others.
Source code for all drivers is available upon request.
Gstreamer source code:
For the Raspberry Pi platform, dedicated GStreamer source modules (pi_mipi_src) are available for raw image data acquisition. The tiscamera Linux SDK for ARM includes tcam-capture camera visualization, GStreamer support and programming examples. Additionally, our GStreamer module tiscamera-dutils provides a variety of highly-optimized conversion and image-enhancement algorithms which can be used with MIPI camera modules as well as standard The Imaging Source industrial cameras.
HALCON from MVTec:
MVTec has many years of experience in embedded vision - with HALCON already successfully ported to a variety of embedded platforms and architectures such as Android, BeagleBoard-xM and DragonBoard as well as other embedded systems.
With the release of HALCON 13.0.1, MVTec included support for ARM®-based platforms as a standard feature. This makes HALCON available to a wide range of ARM-based platforms with Linux operating systems, eliminating the need for custom porting.
HALCON runs on all NVIDIA Jetson platforms. HALCON-based deep learning technologies can be used with NVIDIA® Jetson™ TX2, NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Xavier™, and NVIDIA® Jetson Nano™.
The Imaging Source authors and supports device drivers, software development kits (SDKs) programming samples, extensions, end-user software, and software tools for Linux (and Microsoft Windows). All Linux downloads can also be found on GitHub.
