The Imaging Source at Control 2017

Published on June 2, 2017 by TIS Marketing.

Automated quality assurance is ever-growing in importance and the visitor numbers from this year's Control in Stuttgart reflect this fact. From May 9-12, Control hosted almost 30,000 visitors from 106 countries (up by about 13% compared to last year) and enjoyed increased participation in its educational events. The Imaging Source supports its customers in the development of machine vision solutions to suit their needs, and to this end, displayed its new stereo 3D-vision system and 42 MP autofocus camera as well as the most up-to-date USB and GigE cameras featuring the latest Sony and On Semiconductor sensors. Since efficient industrial machine vision relies on powerful machine-vision software, a live OCR demonstration of MVTec's MERLIC software also featured prominently.
