Convert Analog Video Sources into Uncompressed Image Data Streams
Devices with digital video output dominate the market, but an enormous number of analog video sources remain in use. The Imaging Source's Video-to-USB converter enables the digitization of images from these analog video sources.
This proven video converter is a cost-effective solution which converts analog video signals based on the PAL, NTSC, CCIR, and EIA video standards into uncompressed image data streams.

HD-SDI is a serial digital interface designed primarily for the transmission of uncompressed and unencrypted video data over 75-ohm coaxial cable (this cabling is a legacy from earlier analog video standards). DFG/HDSDI converts serial digital video signals according to HD-SDI into uncompressed image data streams for USB 3.0 interfaces.
Direct Camera to Monitor Imaging
Typical machine vision applications use dedicated computers to perform image processing and analysis. Some simple monitoring and visualization tasks do not, however, require these levels of image processing. Such tasks are most efficiently solved by delivering images directly from camera to a monitor-eliminating the need for and associated costs of dedicated computer hardware.
The USB-to-HDMI converter enables direct image display from The Imaging Source's USB3 industrial cameras (33U, 37U and 38U series) to an HDMI monitor. A USB keyboard can be connected to the converter, allowing users to set the desired conversion parameters via the easy-to-use on-screen menu.

The Imaging Source's HDMI-to-USB converter (DFG/HDMI) captures digital images from HDMI video sources such as medical and industrial imaging devices, computers and other video equipment. The uncompressed video signal can then be processed or recorded via The Imaging Source's free software tools: IC Measure, IC Capture and IC Imaging Control SDK. A selection of supported resolutions include 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 60 fps, 3840x2160 (4K) at 30 fps and 4096x2160 (4K) at 30 fps.
