refenum.BarcodeParam

refenum.BarcodeParam

The following overview lists the different generic parameters with the respective value ranges and default values.
Parameters can be changed by applying the method DecodingOptions.SetGlobalParameter or DecodingOptions.SetSpecificParameter.
In general, barcodes will be found and decoded without special configuration. In case of bad performance or bad image quality, decoding quality and performance can be increased by specifying barcode params.
BarcodeParam is declared in TIS.Imaging.Barcode.
Name Description
EnableChecksum Enables or disables checksum calculation on 1d barcodes, that support an optional checksum( CODE39 and Interleaved 2 of 5). Default: -1(disabled) Typical values: [0 ... 1]
NumScanlines Specifies the number of scanlines, that will be used for 1d barcode decoding. Default: -1(disabled) Typical values: [10 ... 100]
MinimumElementSize Specifies the minimum element size, e.g. the minimal with of bars and spaces. The value is defined in pixels * 10. Default: -1(disabled) Typical values: [20 ... 200]
MaximumElementSize Specifies the maximum element size, e.g. the maximal with of bars and spaces. The value is defined in pixels * 10. Default: -1(disabled) Typical values: [40 ... 600]
Orientation Expected bar code orientation. A potential (candidate) bar code contains bars with similar orientation. The "Orientation" and "OrientationTolerance" parameters are used to specify the range. Typical values: [0 ... 90] Default: -1
OrientationTolerance Orientation tolerance. Please refer to the explanation of 'orientation' parameter for further information. Typical values: [0 ... 90] Default: -1
StopAfterNumResults Number of successfully decoded barcodes after which the decoding will stop. If this parameter is not set(has a value of -1), all barcode candidates are decoded. Typical values: [1 ...] Default: -1
Timeout Time period in millisecs, after after 'tis_findbarcode' is interupted. The accuracy is about 100ms. Typical values: [1 ...] Default: -1
MinimumWidth Minimum width of a barcode candidate in pixels. Typical values: [1 ...] Default: -1
MinimumHeight Minimum height of a barcode candidate in pixels. Typical values: [1 ...] Default: -1
MaximumWidth Maximum width of a barcode candidate in pixels. Typical values: [1 ...] Default: -1
MaximumHeight Maximum height of a barcode candidate in pixels. Typical values: [1 ...] Default: -1
