The Imaging Source, international manufacturer of machine vision cameras and software for industrial imaging, announces the introduction of its new 47G Series of GigE board-level cameras, offering a compact, cost-optimized solution for OEMs and integrators working in industrial automation, quality assurance, and surveillance applications. The cameras feature a space-saving 36 x 36 x 18 mm single-board design and an angled RJ45 connector, making them ideal for applications requiring a reduced hardware footprint.
The 47G Series are GigE Vision compliant, with robust data transmission over cable lengths of up to 100 meters, optional Power over Ethernet (PoE), and options for C-mount or S-mount optics.
A range of Sony and onsemi CMOS sensors are planned for the new GigE series. Currently supported and in series production are the Sony IMX900 (3.2 MP, global shutter) and onsemi AR0521 (5 MP, rolling shutter) sensors.
The onsemi AR2020 (20 MP, rolling shutter) is currently available as a prototype, and the Sony IMX568 (5.1 MP, global shutter) will be available in prototype form at the end of June. These prototypes are available in limited quantities for selected customers and partners, with series production scheduled for September 2025.
"With the 47G Series, we're giving customers an innovative, flexible and future-proof GigE board-level platform that's easy to integrate and ready for a wide range of automation and industrial applications," said Momchil Binev, Senior Product Manager at The Imaging Source.
