After a successful prototype phase, The Imaging Source's 47G Series GigE board-level cameras has now entered regular series production. The milestone marks the transition from limited prototype availability to full commercial release, allowing OEMs and system integrators to order the cameras as standard products for industrial and embedded vision projects.

47G Series GigE board-level cameras: Now in regular series production with five sensor variants from 3.2 MP to 20 MP.Compact Design for Embedded Integration

The 47G Series combines a space-saving 36 × 36 × 18 mm single-board design with an angled RJ45 connector, making it ideal for applications where every millimeter counts, such as compact industrial systems, embedded vision setups, or space-constrained inspection units.

Compliant with the GigE Vision standard, the cameras offer data transmission over cable lengths up to 100 m, optional Power over Ethernet (PoE), and support for both C-mount and S-mount optics.

Broad Sensor Lineup in Series Production

All five planned sensor variants are now in regular production and available for standard ordering:

  • Sony IMX900: 3.2 MP, global shutter

  • Sony IMX568: 5.1 MP, global shutter

  • onsemi AR0521: 5 MP, rolling shutter

  • onsemi AR2020: 20 MP, rolling shutter

  • Sony IMX676: 12 MP, rolling shutter

This range covers a wide range of automation and industrial applications, offering engineers a flexible GigE platform that's easy to integrate and built for long-term product availability.

"With series production now underway, our OEM and integration partners can confidently design the 47G platform into their long-term projects," says Momchil Binev, Senior Product Manager at The Imaging Source. "This milestone ensures consistent availability, stable performance, and dependable delivery for scalable industrial imaging solutions."
