Visus IP67: Rugged, Compact GigE Industrial Cameras Built to Lower System Cost
Published on June 2, 2026 by TIS Marketing.
The Imaging Source has introduced the new Visus IP67 Series, a family of compact IP67 GigE industrial cameras designed for machine vision applications in demanding environments.
As machine vision expands into more exposed, decentralized, and demanding environments, cameras must withstand dust, water, vibration, and harsh operating conditions while fitting into increasingly compact machine designs. Combining rugged ingress protection, modern sensor technology, and a coordinated accessory ecosystem, the Visus IP67 Series helps OEMs and systems integrators reduce integration effort and overall system cost.

Compact IP67 GigE Cameras for Space-Constrained Machine Vision Systems
With dimensions of just 43 × 43 × 34.5 mm, the Visus IP67 Series is among the most compact GigE IP67 camera platforms available. The compact housing provides greater flexibility when integrating cameras into robotics, machine frames, inspection stations, and other space-constrained systems. The cameras' IP6K6 and IP6K7 ingress protection ensures reliable operation in environments exposed to dust, moisture, washdown procedures, and other industrial contaminants.
The Visus IP67 Series was developed with a focus on reducing total cost of ownership. Competitive camera pricing, compact mechanics, current-generation sensors, and a coordinated accessory ecosystem help OEMs and machine builders reduce integration effort while deploying robust machine vision systems at lower overall system cost.
Modern Sensor Technology and Industrial Connectivity
The cameras combine modern sensor technology with industrial-grade connectivity, making them suitable for a wide range of machine vision applications including robotics, warehouse automation, food processing, agriculture, and automotive manufacturing.
To support these applications, key features include:
-
Sony and onsemi global and rolling shutter sensors from 3.1 MP to 20 MP
-
M12 X-coded GigE with Power-over-Ethernet
-
M8 A-coded connector for I/O and auxiliary power
-
1× Trigger IN and 2× GPOUT
Accessory Ecosystem for Faster System Integration
To further reduce integration effort and overall system cost, The Imaging Source offers a coordinated ecosystem of compatible accessories including S-Mount (M12) lenses, IP67 lens tubes, as well as IP67-rated data and I/O cables.
Engineers can further accelerate system design using The Imaging Source Lens Calculator tool, with additional support available from the company's sales engineering team.
With its compact design, rugged IP67 protection, modern sensor options, and coordinated accessory ecosystem, the Visus IP67 Series provides a practical platform for machine vision applications in demanding industrial environments. Prototype units are available now in limited quantities for selected customers and partners, with series production scheduled for Q3 2026.
