The Imaging Source and AAEON Deliver a Validated Platform for Rugged Edge AI Vision

Developing AI vision systems for harsh environments often means selecting and integrating cameras, AI hardware, drivers, and software from multiple vendors. To help developers reduce integration effort and shorten development time, The Imaging Source has collaborated with AAEON Technology to validate its Acuva IP67 GMSL2 cameras with the AAEON BOXER-8645AI rugged AI computer.
The result is a proven hardware platform for embedded and industrial AI vision applications that combines high-performance imaging, edge AI computing, and production-ready software support.

Built for Harsh Environments
Designed for demanding outdoor and industrial applications, the platform enables developers to build reliable AI vision systems while reducing system integration effort and project risk. The Acuva camera series combines Sony and onsemi CMOS sensors with resolutions from 2.3 MP to 20 MP and frame rates of up to 100 fps. IP67-rated housings, integrated M12 S-mount lenses, Power over Coax (PoC), and GMSL2 connectivity make the cameras well suited for mobile and outdoor systems where reliability is essential.
