What is the User Set feature and how do I use it?

The User Set feature allows you to store and restore complete camera configurations. It can be used both to return the camera to its factory settings and to save your own predefined configurations for different applications.

The camera provides two user-configurable memory slots, UserSet1 and UserSet2, as well as a permanent Default set containing the camera's factory configuration.

What User Sets are available?

  • Default - Contains the camera's factory default configuration. This set is permanently stored and cannot be overwritten.

  • UserSet1 - Memory slot for your own camera configuration.

  • UserSet2 - Second memory slot for your own camera configuration.

How can I restore the factory settings?

To restore the camera to its factory configuration:

  1. Set User Set Selector to Default.

  2. Execute Load User Set.

The camera restores its factory default configuration. The Default set is always available and cannot be modified.

How can I save my own camera configuration?

To create a custom User Set:

  1. Configure the camera according to your requirements.

  2. Set User Set Selector to UserSet1 or UserSet2.

  3. Execute Save User Set.

The current camera configuration is then stored in the selected memory slot. You can later restore it by selecting the same User Set and executing Load User Set.

For example, you could use UserSet1 for one application configuration and UserSet2 for a different application configuration.

How can I automatically load a User Set when the camera starts?

The Default User Set parameter determines which configuration the camera loads automatically when it is powered up.

You can select:

  • Default - Start with the factory default configuration.

  • UserSet1 - Start with the configuration stored in UserSet1.

  • UserSet2 - Start with the configuration stored in UserSet2.

This is particularly useful when a camera should always start with a specific configuration without requiring the application to configure it after every startup.
