Imaging Professionals Educational and Networking Event - Recap

On April 18, 2023, The Imaging Source and MVTec Software hosted a one-day Imaging Professionals Educational and Networking Event, at Bremen's Atlantic Grand Hotel. The agenda for the day was packed with informative sessions on the latest product developments by MVTec and The Imaging Source.
MVTec's Michael Bellmann gave an overview of HALCON's Deep Learning technology and its practical applications, followed by a hands-on session on the newest developments in OCR and its integration in HALCON and MERLIC.
An additional highlight of the event was a case study presented by Patrick Gailer (phil-vision GmbH), showcasing the use of a wide variety of HALCON core technologies in a 3D camera system for the inspection of modular housing components. The case study demonstrated how HALCON accurately detects panel positions and transfers position data to robots, providing valuable insights into real-world imaging applications.
The day concluded with a tour through Bremen's historic city center and dinner. The networking opportunities throughout the day allowed for meaningful connections and discussions, fostering a sense of community among the participants.
